We have had a few fun guests this month. \u00a0 This foxy fox only stayed for a minute, traversing our backyard, to much doggy excitement:<\/div>\n

And this foxy non-fox has been with us for the last few weeks:<\/div>\n

And this non-foxy non-fox is non-foxy mostly because she is fully dead (I found insects are more cooperative photo subjects in that state):<\/div>\n

No, not the 12 foot fire breathing diamond coated right angled saber tooth tribble … good guess though! \u00a0He lives in the guest bedroom … visitors welcome \ud83d\ude42<\/div>\n

Also not the water logged Budda, which is probably not a Budda, but I call any happy looking cross legged thingy a Budda. \u00a0 He\/she lived down by the creek until a big rain storm turned the timid little creek into a gusher and washed him\/her off her\/his pedestal:<\/div>\n

The missing kitchen item? \u00a0 An old brown stained pine table we stole from Zach years ago. \u00a0We decided to black-if-y it:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Now we are considering white-if-ying the red kitchen wall. \u00a0Helen really likes the red, but I think the kitchen is too dark, so we are currently weighing the pros\/cons.<\/div>\n

A white wall would match the white dog. \u00a0 I appear to have his vote:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

The doggy has been bonding with our foxy mystery guest. \u00a0 At least they were bonding pretty well until he clawed her eye out:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/a><\/div>\n

Just kidding. \u00a0She clawed her own eye out.<\/p>\n

She, if you haven’t figured it out yet, is Aya. \u00a0She moved her tele-commuting base from RI to here for the month, then will be off working from Paris for a few months, where most of her 3d graphics team is located:<\/p>\n

Last month the little creek turned on for an hour under clear blue skies. \u00a0 A few weeks ago it did it again, this time for 3 days! \u00a0 \u00a0The dragon got excited:<\/p>\n

The gnomes got happy:<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

And the dog got adventurous:<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n

A little too adventurous … this is him about 1 second before he inadvertently slipped into the creek, on his way to the Gulf of Mexico via the Alabama river:<\/p>\n

I would have taken a picture of him after I rescued him, wet and humbled, but he told me not to. \u00a0I think he was embarrassed.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
So for 3 days we enjoyed a roaring creek. \u00a0Note the cold\/wet\/humbled doggy warming up under my desk:<\/div>\n

I went on a bike ride up the hill to the headwaters and finally figured out the source. \u00a0The city water people were emptying out a water tank so they could paint the inside. \u00a0 Unfortunately looks like a one time event.<\/span><\/p>\n

But when we get a heavy rain, the creek really gushes!<\/p>\n

These chairs heroically tried to perch themselves on the precarious slopes:<\/p>\n

Seeing a good excuse to play with dirt and rocks, I scraped out a flat spot for them:<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/div>\n

I also created a couple of rock and dirt stairs and paths. \u00a0 The (s)he Budda is much happier in this higher\/dryer spot:<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

We are happy now also. \u00a0 We finally closed on the sale of our Salt Lake house … whew! \u00a0Two mortgages was not much fun.<\/p>\n

2400 miles West of here there is another bundle of happiness. \u00a0 We are enjoying lots of creative Max photos from Chloe and Nick. \u00a0Hard to pick just a few of them … cuteness overload:<\/p>\n
