We are into the travel season.   Last month we visited the Carillion clinic in Roanoke VA.   It is a pretty town nestled in the Appalachia \u2018mountains\u2019, next to the Blue Ridge Parkway:<\/p>\n

A few years ago the area physicians and hospital merged into a Mayo clinic like model, and are now looking for an epileptologist.  This is their main hospital:<\/p>\n

This is some clueless tourist VannaWhiteing the new medical school they just built across the road:<\/p>\n

We took a bike ride along a pretty bike path that goes along the river that runs through town:   \"DSCN4174\"<\/a> <\/p>\n

And drove a bit on the Blue ridge Parkway:<\/p>\n

We are going back for a second visit in a few weeks, along with a visit to teaching hospital in Chapel Hill NC.   This week we are taking a second visit back to Salt Lake, and finally (we think) a visit to another teaching hospital in Hershey PA in July.    <\/p>\n

Last weekend we visited one of the finger lakes with our friends from Philadelphia:<\/p>\n

Yesterday we visited the local rose garden, which is in full bloom.   Mom and Dad, Helen insisted on her annual \u2018Bruce in the roses\u2019 picture, so here it is:<\/p>\n
