Here is a likely easy mystery photo:
Something you don’t want to hear from your dentist: this x-ray shows some “areas of concern”. She was not talking about my beautiful constellation of 8 crowns, rather the scarry blobs in the jaws:
She referred me to an oral surgeon who thankfully diagnosed them as calcified tonsil stones. He suggested I de-tonsilize, but I’m leaning to keeping them for now.
I didn’t have the same luck with my first visit to a dermatologist. A biopsy on this innocent looking splotch on my shoulder came back as a melanoma:
It was small and early, so prognosis is good (>96% cured), but did require a 6mm excision around it. To allow enough skin for healing, they end up with a pretty big excavation, 20 subdermal stitches and another 20 staples!
This shows the effect of several days for self-applied daily dressing changes, from Dr office tidy to a tape war zone (backs are tricky):
I did my own surgery on a robot vacuum. Less painful, at least for me:
This month in 3d printing, yet another water filter and some window adapters for Z&L’s house, here being stress tested for strength in my vice:
I have perfected natto, now freezing big batches, so if anyone wants to try, come visit my freezer:
The pond plants are thriving:
That first photo was an indigo milk cap mushroom:
Apologies for all the shrum photos. Peak season here and my camera finds them irresistible 🙂

Ouch! My wife has had a few excisions for non-melanoma.
Hopefully those were smaller surgeries. They like to nuke melanomas!
Oh, I am so sorry. Hopefully doctors fixed this completely. Get well and creative again.
Thanks Olga, that sound like a good plan 🙂
Wow and wow. You stay focused and get cured.
Thanks Cherie, will do 🙂
