I am still having fun with hydroponics but got tired of refilling mason jars. So, I upgraded to an ‘ebb and flow’ system which pumps fertilized water from the tub into a tray twice a day. It then drains, giving the plant roots both water and air:
I also upgraded my sourcrout process, moved to bigger garden and mop buckets. I washed them out first 🙂
In non-edible news, I had some more fun with foam, filling in a driveway crack:
We closed on the sale of Mom’s house last week. Sue posted some photos and remembrances of our childhood home on Facebook . One of the few things I kept was a chess set, which was the subject of one of earliest photos I ever took. I re-created that photo, slightly better quality with today’s technology 🙂
Zach’s adventures continue, traveling to MN, MT, UT, CO, WA, and AL. I probably missed a state, he is hard to keep track of!
Nick & family visited their good friends in Austin. They have 3 similarly aged children, so Nick’s challenge was to see if he could hold all 6 at once:
