A mystery photo:

Dark, wet mud and exposed rock with green moss, pale grass stems, and a diagonal light-brown stick across the scene.

I learned that smaller does not mean safer. I was enchanted by this mini chainsaw, until I discovered that it can have an alarmingly energetic kickback! Fortunately, I’m healing ok:

I evicted a raccoon from the owl box. He doesn’t like my water hose:

A clue to the mystery photo:

I’ve enjoyed sharing my backyard nature preserve with some friends:

I re-worked the fountains so they spray higher and are more reliably:

That mystery photo was where this poor guy’s liver used to live:

I found him after a turkey vulture had a feast:

Nature can be gross. But also beautiful!

  2. I am surprised that your mystery photo looked, to me, a lot like a liver but I talked myself out of it, nah couldn’t be. I made the deduction on the few I have seen in O.R. thetre. Quite amazing how similar liver from different species look so alike.
