We had a delightful Thanksgiving. Not surprisingly, 1.5 year old Max was the star of the holiday:
He is such a happy boy:
Nick and Chloe got this parenting thing figured out:
I’m still figuring out the grand-parenting thing. Not sure in involves playing with knives:
Or sharp pointy things:
Aya and her boyfriend Eric also made the trip from California, along with a couple other relatives from Florida:
We played a fun charades like game that uses a cell phone:
And an ancient game that predates cell phones by 1500 years:
Max and doggies got along well:
He made sure they were well fed:
Max also met his first cordless phone. He learned how to do calls during his stairway commutes:
He also learned how to squeeze water bottles:
And how to drop lots of things into the fish tank:
This piano photo reminded me of one we took of Nick 30+ years ago:
Chloe posted some really excellent photos at her site here:
Google also kindly auto-generated a couple of nice short clips:
We dog-sat Irina’s puppy for a couple of weeks. The two doggies mostly had a good time. Lots of wrestling:
And tug-of-war for favorite toys (whatever the other dog has):
Sometimes the larger Bantik had to give puppy Devochka a stern stare-down to get her to calm down:
Sometimes he just gave up and sought refuge wherever he could get it (puppies have a LOT of energy):
They also served on guard duty together:
And sleep duty:
These are two of Helen’s co-workers (not their normal attire):
We discovered a magic opossum in our yard … check out the end of this short clip:
His secret is shown in the walk through of a new trail I finished last weekend:
If you are a glutton for trail dust, here is another one I did a few weeks ago:
Also did a geek video comparing the Amazon and Google voice assistants:
Will close with this thoughtful guy:
Looks a little like a wise old turtle, pondering, chin-on-fist, how it is that a rock lichen can end up looking like a pondering turtle.
