Inspector Inchworm

Posted on May 30, 2022May 30, 2022 by brucewinter

A maybe not-so-mysterious mystery photo:

These guys are befuddled, so don’t ask them:

I’ve been enjoying eating my one-meal-a-day dinner out on the deck. Who knew sauerkraut was edible!

Project of the month, replacing a rotting deck rail:

I hired an inspector to verify the cable was good. He was slow, but thorough:

Other insect action this month includes a (staged) war between a cockroach and centipede. That last photo is a witch-hazel tree gall, an egg sack for aphids:

Trees are amazing in their survival. Like this one battling a wisteria vine, and a pine tree that is determined to grow in the middle of one of my pond waterfalls:

A few of the pond flowers that magically bloomed this month. The white was a Helen favorite:

Closing with that mystery photo. Applause to anyone who guessed rabbit rowing on a leaf:

Bruce

Love this, glad to see your home place thriving with all it’s beautiful creatures. The white flowers are beautiful just like your Helen. Hope you are doing well. Cherie

The rabbit was on a stand up paddle leaf!
