Fish Eaters

Posted on December 30, 2022December 31, 2022 by brucewinter

Mystery photo. Don’t spend too much time on this one, is un-guessable:

After much research and even much-er more waiting, I edited the contents of my garage:

I sold Helen’s sliver Kia Soul to CarMax and bought a BMW 330e. Same car that Mika (and Paul) got, a plug-in hybrid. BBW likes his BMW 🙂

I lost a bunch of pond fishes this month to an old foe, a Herron, and a new one, some sort of otter:

Zach has a new job in as an emergency flight nurse based out of San Juan Island in northwestern WA:

The mystery photo was of a drip tray from a frother, a combination of coffee, cocoa, golden milk (turmeric), and matcha green tea drips:

Closing with some ice photos. The creek fountains had fun with last week’s cold snap!

Bruce, today being January 3rd, I — and many others, I am sure — realize with great sadness that Helen passed away on this date a year ago. She is forever remembered, loved, and missed.

Elena, thanks for the note. I re-read all the remembrances that were posted, finding comfort in them. She is indeed missed, but well remembered.

Your drip tray is a piece of art in itself!! Love the nature photos! I am curious if your fish survived the freeze (what was left of them anyway). Is it a river otter? Are there other bodies of water nearby? Hes cute but looks small.
I was in the jungles of N Sumatra on the anniversary of Helens death. My thoughts were with you and her family. xoxxo

The creek water trickles through the ponds, so they never freeze over. Looks like the biggest koi are still with me, but the smaller ones have departed. The river my small creek drains into is several miles away, so that river otter is an impressive wanderer.

Enjoyed you Sumatra photos/videos. Thanks for your thoughts on Helen.
