I over-instrumented my cold tub and sauna with sensors to monitor flow, temperature, humidity, power, and occupancy. Also added some cheap tablets to display it all, including timers to monitor how long I was frozen/melted:
I could not figure out how to hack into the proprietary sauna electronics, so I resorted to a crude but effective power on/off control via an artificial finger. Here are a couple of my early hacks:
Another finger hack: a new way to measure fingernail growth rate, something that is linked to health/age. Instead of hard-to-maintain fingernail polish, accidently use a razor blade knife! So far, about 3 mm / month:
I enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with friends Tim, Jane, and family:
Speaking of tasty foods, I discovered a couple more targets for chocolate chips: chili and BROL, a porridge of Barley, Rye, Oats, and Lentils, and whatever other grains you feel like pouring into the pressure cooker:
Doggies have adjusted to their new home. Bantik did not much like a recent short haircut:
Closing with some artsy Fall photos:

I look forward to your post. The finger trick is interesting. You have a very busy mind, keeps you young. Did you get a new puppers? Very cute. May your December be full of joy. Sending a Montana hug.
That short haircut makes Bantik looks like a puppy, but he is actually 9+ years old! I gave him and his sister to a young family earlier this year. Thanks for the Montana hug 🙂
