An wonderful thing happened at Dad’s funeral. Just as the graveside ceremony began, 3 horses galloped over a hill and joined us in saying goodbye:
Dad was good with horses. These are the videos we showed at the funeral, some of which show him horsing around with horses:
- A slideshow that Dad prepared about a year ago
- A photo slideshow with two songs Mom picked
- Video clips of Dad at play
His last ride was with 2 beautiful Clydesdales:
Mom picked out a beautiful hand made in Montana cedar casket:
Air Force Captain Dad got full military honors:
It was amazing weather for March:
Somehow all the grandchildren were able to make it:
And all the Kitamuras also made it:
Mom’s brothers, Tim and Ben, were also able to make it. I’m guessing this is some sort of old school fist bump:
We had a great time gathering, visiting, and remembering:
Photo team at work making photo boards … so many to choose from:
Brad at work, making new photo memories:
While we were distracted, doggy almost made it out of the room with a chicken leg … he really didn’t want to give it up:
We had fun reviewing the contents Dad’s black doctor bag. I remember he would let us carry it when we went on house calls with him when we were little. Been a while since he went on a house call … some of those drugs expired 40+ years ago:
Notice the resemblance of Sue and Mom in the above photo? Mom has changed her style a little since the 60s:
She is a little more laid back now days:
Dad’s obit has lots of nice remembrances:
